This yacht was built in 1998 by Haukilahden veneveistämö in Finland. They built over 50 Colin Archers and this one Mr. Lydman built to himself. The hull model of Lydman’s CA40 is the same as the original Colin Archer rescue boat.

She’s been with current owner since 2006. She has sailed in fresh water lake Saimaa 5 years, in the Baltics 4 years, Northern Atlantic 3 years, in the Caribbean 2 years. Currently ashore in Kotka, Finland.

She is very strong to survive all conditions encountered in oceans. The hull structure is of 2 solid fiberglass hulls, 15mm and 10mm thick, and between those 10mm closed-cell thermal foam. Insulated design reduces the condensation to a minimum. Keel area is of 5cm thick solid fiberglass.

She’s equipped for blue water cruising and will be ready to go in spring 2024. Sleeps 7.

Owners have sailed her as a liveaboard family many years on Andalucia, Caribbean and Northern latitudes.
